Behind the Scene
This year I think Mary’s Peak Hound Club had a very successful 2007 - 2008 season. Perhaps you agree or disagree and perhaps later we need to discuss the definition of “successful.” But, for now, I would like to express my thanks. It was the people “behind the scene.” who I consider invaluable to our club this past season.
Lyle Jack, Kim White, Jeff White, Ted Kistner, Libby Wentz, Bob Baker, Missy Fix, Curt Wilcox, Nora Cook, Nikki Jackson, Bob Wentz, Jim Minter, Caleb, Ben and Willard Wilcox, Chris Baker, Mike West, Rion and Elliott Bourgeois, Jon Simonson, Bill Thornton, Loreli Fister, the Foster family, and Corey and Tanner Weston.
These club members are multi-tasked individuals and have all donated valuable time and effort performing the following many tasks: Constant help setting up and cleaning up both before and after every event. They provided hounds and volunteering time for events such as the “Youth Rabbit Hunt,” the “Small Game Hunting Clinic,” the “Red Phillips Youth Rabbit and Raccoon Hunt,” the “Disabled Hunters Rabbit Hunt;” also, coordinating efforts with the United Kennel Club to acquire all our licenses to hold field trials and nite hunts and bench shows. Finding bench show judges, being “Master of Hounds,” acquiring hunt sites, guiding during hunts, field judging, handling dogs, assisting with hounds, preparing and cooking food for events, taking registrations, provide lighting when necessary, provide a dog shot clinic, and even donation of a ham for the RQE.
Yes, I probably have forgotten some individual’s names and jobs performed this past season. Accept my forgetfulness. But, know that Mary’s Peak Hound Club greatly appreciates all individuals and the jobs they performed which helped us have a great 2007 -2008 season. Thanks again for a job well done! JR .
